The fingers are flying at Rinde!

New ATG A5 finger tester (Flying Probe) improves delivery performance and creates additional testing opportunities

We have been using the new ATG Flying Probe Tester A5 since autumn 2006. Compared with the previous model, the A3, which has been a reliable tool for us for several years, the A5 offers a multitude of benefits for our customers:

Characteristics

Advantages for Our Customers

Approx. double the speed of operation:   Testing times are reduced, and delivery times as well
Even larger lots can be tested at low cost using the Flying Probe Tester.   No adapter costs
Test needle pressure adjustable and reducible to ‘nearly zero’   No more impressions left behind by test needles on the pads for chem. Ni/Au or Sn surfaces
Measurements in the mOhm range possible (range from 1 mOhm-1 kOhm)     Inadmissible contact resistance values can be measured.
Inductivity measurable between 2 points (range: 0.2 µH-5000 µH)   Characteristics of printed spools can be defined and monitored.
Capacitance measurable between 2 points (range: 0.1 pF-100 µF)   High-frequency characteristics on the circuit board can be measured subject to definitions.
Outstanding Precision:
Test finger precision: +/- 20µm
Smallest test point:      50µm
Min. distance between test points:    100µm
Repetitive accuracy:  +/- 10µm
Even the finest structures are not electrically testable.
